I'm traveling from the US to San Pedro. I have 2 small dogs. The import permit application has been approved. I know the shots they need. The problem is getting them to Belize. Only a few airlines will allow pets, but only 1 pet per person in cabin. I will not fly my dogs as cargo. I researched cruises. The only ones that allow pets are not going to Belize. Now I'm down to driving through Mexico, but I'd be alone. That doesn't sound safe. I thought about chartering a boat or plane. Really expensive. Any suggestions. Please help!! By the way, keep in mind, my dogs are my children lol

Cheaper than chartering a plane is to buy a friend a ticket and have them travel down with you. One dog for each person?

Great suggestion smile Do you think it's too unsafe to drive through Mexico by myself?

It's me again, everyone. I Am still trying to get to Belize with my 2 dogs. I've asked friends & family to go with for the purpose of having them carry 1 dog in cabin. Even with them knowing I'd pay for the whole or most of the ticket, theyre still too busy to go. What am I to do now?

Where are you traveling from? Are your travel times flexible? Is there anyone on the message board coming down around the same time who could help Daniera? You may have to fly down with one pup and go back for the other.

Thank you, JaHo. My travel times are flexible. But I want to go as soon as possible. On a Saturday would be best. But I would be willing to work with whoever could help me. And yes, I did think about going with one pup & then coming back for the other. I guess I didn't want to go through the trouble or money. But I may have to do it that way :-(
