Belize NMS: A relatively moist northeasterly airflow will dominate our weather the next couple of days. Advisories: None. 24-hour forecast: Mostly cloudy with some showers and isolated thunderstorms occurring mainly over the south and along the coast today. Cloudy skies at times tonight and cloudy with sunny periods tomorrow. Some showers and isolated thunderstorms will occur mostly along the coast and in the south. Winds: East to northeast 10-20 knots. Marine Forecast: Today: Winds: E-NE 10-20 kts.; seas: Choppy - moderate.; waves: 3-6 ft.; some showers and isolated thunderstorms. It's windy and grey on Ambergris Caye this morning. The expected high is 82 and the sea is choppy.

From Belmopan...

The partly clear night sky has resulted in elevated fog or overcast cloud, which can and has resulted in isolated areas of rain.

Cloud is dominating the easterly Caribbean weather over most of Belize this morning. . .. Some high swell-ups due to the higher level winds from the south.. . .On several days, I have been noticing a line of cloud in the morning from the Honduras coast, to central Belize. .. .This is probably being caused by the air of the mountains of Honduras.. . . . .The cold front does not appear to be having any effect on Belize weather, but is probably having some effect on northern Yucatan.

I expect this present blanket of cloud to thin over the next few hours and increasing blue sky appearing and some sun later.

There still could be the odd rain in any parts of Belize, mainly south and central presently, but north later today, but probably not a lot.

From Belmopan...

As some of you will have seen, the morning cloud started to thin and blue sky could be seen, then, in parts of Belize it thickened up as the Caribbean air moved in over Belize. . ..Resulting in some very strong winds and heavy rain. . . .Belmopan had 17.3mm ( 3/4" ) in just over half and hour, followed by plenty of blue sky and bright sunshine.. . . .But now with possibly more significant Rain to follow.. . .Going from one extreme to another.

There were three waves of cloud went over Belize on Mon, there was also high level Pacific air adding to the mix and helping the rain.. . . .There is far less Caribbean cloud moving in from the ESE off Honduras at resent and largely clear air behind, but with a few cloud areas, and less high level cloud. . . . .So possible occasional rain through the night, possibly some in the morning but the chance is very much less.. .. The present indications is a fair amount of sun tomorrow, if things do not change over night
