Arriving May 1 for first time. Have several diving trips scheduled, but had to cancel Blue Hole trip for health reasons. Any ideas on a different trip or excursion we might plan for that day instead?

depends on what you like.....a day trip to a ruin site or a manatee trip would be possible....look to spend around 80-100 us per person.... many tour operators are right in town and real easy to find... you can usually book on the same day if you get there right away in the morning

The cave tubing was as awesome as any of the diving. Don't miss it. Book it with Seaduced. Ask around to find the place or ask your hotel. We saw manatees on the way to the caves. They serve lunch at a beautiful resort. First rate trip. 140 per person, includes everything, all day and a trip to the zoo on the way back. The natural cave formations are incredible.

Jellyfish, where is the cave tubing? Is it on the mainland?

The Caves are on the mainland, so we go by boat to the mainland and up the Old Belize River. Then we go by road to Jaguar Paw, where we Cave Tube and have lunch. After that it is on to the zoo.
If you want to make reservations for the Cave Tubing, Lamanai Jungle River Adventure or the Manatee Snorkel Excursion(we do all of these with our boats) you can e-mail us at

Don't miss the cave tubing. Go with Rico and Tuff Enuf, he and his dad and brother are great. A lot of fun which adds to the trip. But whoever you go with, do the tubing its great.

That sounds great, we are going to Belize this month and will add Seaduced to our list for the inland trips.

SEAduced was great! We went on two excursions with them last week. We did the cave tubing one (awesome!) and on another day, we did the manatee day long trip. It went to see the manatees, then to Goffs Caye (little tropical island...truly paradise) for a bbq lunch, then to shark ray alley, and then to Caye Calker. It was a great excursion. We were very pleased with both...and especially with SEAduced and Elito (our guide on both trips). He really made the trip for all of us. We had a great time!

Have fun,

Cave Tubing with Elito at Seaduced was the greatest! We had an awesome time. Definitely a must do trip! I'll post more details in a trip report.

I agree about SEAduced. We took their tour to Altun Ha and the Maruba spa. Our guide, Herman, was an absolute blast and since he grew up in Bomba Village on the mainland he knew EVERYTHING about the area and the Myan ruins. He even pulled the boat over to the side of the river to display his abilty to eat some spicy termites! Yum!! Actually, I didn't try them, but I got a cool picture of him gulping them down!!
