From Belmopan...
Hurricane Blanca is collapsing, now Cat.2 . But as far as we are concerned some of that break up is being tangled into other natural ITCZ weather just off the Guatemalan coast. So we have been getting a number of outpourings over Belize bringing patches of rain over night. These patches of rain, some heavy, are likely t continue for much of the morning. The high level westerly cloud is inter-reacting with the mid-low level cloud from the south, causing patches of rain and even some thunder. The Caribbean wind is almost non existent near Belize, perhaps a little of it from the NNE in the north, but none further south. It is the southerly cloud that is slowly moving upwards over Belize.
I expect today to be largely cloudy, and with a number of patches of rain, perhaps the occasional sunshine.
Hurricane Blanca is, as I suspected, blowing its self apart or collapsing, now Cat.2 and now expected to reduce in part due to its very rapid build up and in part due to its sitting on the same spot for many days, thus cooling the sea and starving its self of warm water to maintain its self.
