From Belmopan...
Two swell-ups last night, one down south, must have brought some rain for Toledo, but the one that rapidly developed above central Belize caused 62mm ( 2" ) of rain in just one hour. Over the last 4 years, there have only been between 2 - 4 times this much rain in a day, but most was not just in one hour. But the ground has been made damp over the last few days, so a fair amount to last nights rain will have gone into the soil and not just run off. There are several small swell-ups off the Belize coast at present, but being off shore, are not causing much rain on Belize. There could be more before they die out.
I expect today to be fairly cloudy, with some sun later, there could be the odd rain shower, some heavy, more likely near the coast.
