We are coming to AC 4/6/02 for 9 nine days. We are booking a wedding @ Journey's End and would appreciate any feedback on this resort.
Things aren't finalized yet so we wanted to know if it was a nice place to get married or is too far off the beaten path? Does the ferry make regular stops there or do you have to make a reservation?
Thanks for the help!

it is off the beaten path. there is a ferry but it only really stops if they are expecting you. reserve at front desk. they have their own that goes in the morning & one in the afternoon. you gotta tell them you are going. to get to town is by boat only. maybe 15 minutes. fast too. bring a hat u can tie on, or pull your hair back. the grounds are very pretty. the rooms, well, mine was okay, not great. the staff is nice. the food was limited but good. i was there 8/00, before the hurricane.

any other specific questions?

Thanks for your reply! We booked an ocean front cabana - I hope it's nice. I was a little worried because I never hear anything about Journey's End. I just read an article in a travel magazine recommending it because of it's nice beach. It also said it was only accessible by water. I hope it makes a good wedding site! Were you able to keep liquor and beer in the room - there is a mini fridge, right?

Thanks for your help!

very beautiful place I was there about a month ago , We also stayed oceanfront.the staff was very nice.I'll tell you like I was told before I left "just dont expect much from the rooms" and you'll have a great time.they have a small fridge for drinks. there was hardly anyone around???? I was told because hardly anyone was flying now days. Book your inland tours somewhere else than at journeys end the company they use is pretty reckless.Have a good one
