From Belmopan...
And so these bands or pockets of rain, some heavy, continue in any part of Belize.
Those two ITCZ swell-ups, one to the east of Nicaragua keeps swelling up and dying down, and the other, above that one, in the Caribbean to the east of Belize, also swells up and dies down, but neither are showing signs of finishing any time soon. The eatery Caribbean winds, then bring the resultant rain in over Belize in bands and patches of rain, some heavy. This is probably going to continue throughout the night and into Friday morning.
This is pretty much what the Met. people say.
I prefer to describe it as a Bubble of upper Tropical wet air, that is presently coming up from the Pacific between Panama and Guatamala, from a more or less southerly direction, which is then spreading out into the Gulf of Mexico, but mainly curving round below Cuba and going into the central Caribbean. . . . . When it crosses over the regular easterly Caribbean air, it is often clashing with that Caribbean air, resulting in bands of patchy areas of rain, some very heavy.

A TROPICAL WAVE IS OVER CENTRAL AMERICA AND ANOTHER TROPICAL
WAVE IS OVER THE CENTRAL CARIBBEAN. PLEASE REFER TO THE TROPICAL
WAVES SECTION FOR MORE DETAILS. AN UPPER RIDGE OVER THE WESTERN
CARIBBEAN IS PRODUCING A BROAD AREA OF UPPER LEVEL DIFFLUENCE
OVER THIS PORTION OF THE BASIN. LOW LEVEL CONVERGENCE NEAR THE
COAST OF CENTRAL AMERICA COMBINED WITH THE UPPER DIFFLUENCE IN
THE PRESENCE OF VERY HIGH MOISTURE IS SUPPORTING SCATTERED
MODERATE/ISOLATED STRONG CONVECTION FROM 09N TO 19N BETWEEN 77W
( Those two Orange Circles )
AND 86W. GENERALLY FAIR WEATHER COVERS THE REMAINDER OF THE
CARIBBEAN. MODERATE TO FRESH TRADE WINDS DOMINATE THE CARIBBEAN
BASIN THIS AFTERNOON. OVER THE NEXT 24 HOURS THE CENTRAL
CARIBBEAN TROPICAL WAVE WILL INTERACT WITH THE AREA OF DISTURBED
WEATHER OVER THE WESTERN CARIBBEAN WHICH SHOULD ACT TO FURTHER
ENHANCE CONVECTION.
