On Saturday, December 5, 2015, the San Pedro Town Council invited everyone to the lighting of the christmas tree at Central Park.

Everyone gathered around the christmas tree awaiting the shining lights. Mayor Daniel Guerrero offered a few words where he gave a warming thank you to the Bowen family for donating the christmas tree a few years back and for ensuring that it goes up every year. After his speech, he gave the word, and ta-da! the Christmas tree was finally lit for everyone to enjoy!

Following the Mayor's address, Hon. Manuel Heredia Jr. gave a few warm remarks in rememberance that Christmas is a time to share and be with family.

Also, giving a few remarks was Lady Dixie Bowen who gave special mention to Mr. Guillermo Rodriguez for having the fun and complicated task of setting up the tree every year.

After the tree was lit, the Isla Bonita Elementary School entertained everyone with their high energy dances. And to keep the christmas spirit high, local piano artist, Lascelle Martinez graced us with some Christmas Carols.

It was a night filled with fun! The kids were treated to some christmas decorated cupcakes and soft drinks...and there was face painting too!

The San Pedro Town Council would like to thank each and everyone who took their time to come out and celebrate the christmas cheer with us at Central Park. It was so much fun...and only possible because of you all. Until next year! Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!

P.S. Look out for us at the Love FM Parade on Sunday, December 13, 2015.
