POSTPONED til Monday.

Due to the unpredictable weather conditions, and for the safety of all participants, the boat parade committee has made the decision to postpone the San Pedro Holiday Boat Parade to Monday, December 21. The event times, raffles, awards ceremonies, and viewing stations will not change.

We apologize for the inconvenience, but safety is of our main concerns and priorities. Would you please help us in spreading the word to ensure that everyone has a chance to spectate this wonderful parade on Monday evening?

Thank you so much, and enjoy your weekend. We'll see you Monday evening!

2015 Holiday Lighted Boat Parade Decorates our Caribbean Coast

Bigger, brighter, spectacular boats were on display for this year's Holiday Lighted Boat Parade. After first being canceled; then resurrected by a different group of organizers, the 2015 Holiday Lighted Boat Parade proved to be the best one yet. 15 decorated boats in the spirit of Christmas graced the eastern coast of Ambergris Caye on Monday, December 21st in a night of spectacular lights, food, cash and prize giveaways.

The parade started shortly after 5:30PM from Wayo's Beach Bar where all 15 boats lined up and flipped the 'on' switch to the sparkling lights. From crabby crabs to angelic angels, the themes represented in this year's boat parade displayed great creativity. After departing from Wayo's the parade headed north up to Coco Loco's Bar which was an official viewing station for the first leg of the parade. At Coco Loco's, the boats made a U-turn retuning south.

Taking the first place prize was Captain Rick Sutherland of 'Miss Zetti', sponsored by Ramon's Village Resort. Taking second place was Captain Wayne McRae of 'Way-Lin-Eh sponsored by Coco Loco's and Caye Coffee, while third place went to Captain Ben Popik of 'Mojo Rising' sponsored by Palapa Tours and Truck Stop. An award was also given to Best Small Boat which went to Captain Erik Henkis of 'Uprising' sponsored by The Phoenix. Honorable mentions also went out to ACES Charity Boat 'Miss Ness' sponsored by 12 Belize and Belize Diving Adventures, Captain Ben Robinson of 'Baby Boy' sponsored by Marbucks and Palapa Tours, Captain Jose Luis Zapata of 'Gaven' sponsored by Jose Luis Zapata Studios and Captain Kevin Smith of 'YOLO' sponsored by Kevin and Heather Smith.

San Pedro's Christmas Lighted Boat Parade Rises Again - BIGGER AND BETTER!

After an official cancellation in late November, a new group taking the reins and a Saturday night weather postponement, San Pedro's Holiday Lighted Boat Parade lined up last night and wasfreaking awesome.

I arrived earlyas always and stopped by Sandbar Hostel/Bar & Restaurant first to add my gift to the growing pile and to admire 176 boxes, bags, bikes and presents, all going to Ambergris kids in need.

Christmas Lights at Sea Brighten San Pedro Holiday Boat Parade
Ramon's Village brought it's A-Game to the 9th Annual San Pedro Holiday Boat Parade with an brilliant show of lights that had Santa Claus riding his sleigh filled with Christmas Trees, a parrot, shark, dive flag and two giant pineapples being pulled by sea turtles. The top boat of the evening dazzled onlookers with its show of color and cheer. After being picked up by a new committee of volunteers headed by Dee Regis Vasquez of Wayo's Beach Bar & Aqua Vista Beachfront Suites and Britney O'Daniel of Sandbar Beachfront Hostel & Restaurant the Holiday Boat Parade was back in action after it was cancelled for 2015. The new team rushed to find sponsors and made a great effort in gathering participants for the parade. On parade day, Monday, December 21, 2015, fifteen boats lined up for the fun and hundreds of residents and visitors crammed onto piers, beach areas and viewing stations to enjoy the spectacle of lights on the water. There was a crab chasing an angel, Santa riding a train, Christmas trees, a giant truck and plenty hundreds more lights that decorated the evening shoreline. The San Pedro Holiday boat parade was deemed an even bigger success this year.
