Belize Weather Forecast: January 1, 2016

General Situation:
Belize NMS: A light to moderate east to northeasterly airflow is influencing our weather. A cold front is expected to cross Sunday night with relatively cool conditions in its wake.
Advisories: None.
24-hour forecast: Sunny with some cloudy spells today and cloudy skies at times tonight and sunny skies with some cloudy spells tomorrow. A few showers will occur mainly in the south and along some coastal areas.
Winds: East - northeast 10-20 knots.

Today: Winds: E-NE 10-20 kts.; seas: Moderate.; waves: 4-6 ft.; a few showers mainly in the south.
Tomorrow: Winds: E-NE 5-15 kts.; seas: Choppy.; waves: 3-4 ft.; a few showers.
Marine Outlook: Saturday night:- Winds: Variable 5-10 kts.; seas: Choppy.; waves: 3-4 ft.; a few showers, decreasing.

Marty OP	From Belmopan... Presently calm surface winds, slight NE, but the Caribbean easterly is still coming in with significant clouds, but less humid than recently, so less rain. There has been some some scattered rain in any part of Belize and there is still some around, mainly in the mountains. The high level is now from the NW but not having much effect on our weather. I expect today will have a fair amount of sunshine and significant cloud from time to time, there could be some rain. Temperatures in Belmopan: Today is probably going to be Similar, to yesterday : Thu, max 30°C 86°F Last night min 24°C 75°F ( Coast usually cooler, hills even cooler )
