A boat was stolen from the Grand Colony Dock near San Pedro Town yesterday morning around 12:40, belonging to 'Island Divers Belize' and was used to take tourists out to sea on diving expeditions.

The 35 foot long Pelican boat with canopy, twin Yamaha 200 horsepower engines, oxygen units, life jackets and other items, valued at approximately $100,000, is being sought by its owners who use it daily to conduct business around San Pedro and are asking for the public's assistance in locating it.

If you have any information regarding the boat's whereabouts, please contact the nearest police station or call its owner at cell phone number: 610-2642.

This is just terrible. I can only imagine the impact this will have on the families of the owners and employees. I hope for a speedy return of you property, intact. This is another re-occurring story on the Island and most waterfront communities which happens a few times a year.

Good luck. A few years ago someone suggested the use of GPS tracking devices to be hidden on board and activated in a case like this. The price has probably come down and considering the investment may be worthwhile. The west coast of Florida was having this problem and the US Coast Guard chased a boat 200 miles at sea heading for Mexico before they caught it. Always 25'+ or so with 2 big outboards.

the owners were able to track it down, finding it with most of its components, excluding the motors, which were stolen."
Whats wrong with this sentence structure?? I think they are trying to say the motors where stolen.
