What is the weather like on AC in early July?

Any more rain, bugs, or wind than in mid-late August? How about the potential for serious weather....(i.e. hurricanes.)

We were there last July and the weather is hot. Being from Texas, we are used to it. It rained a couple of times late in the afternoon or evening. The quick storms were nice and cooled things off. No problems with bugs or mosquitos.

My observations:
July = HOT and HUMID
Bugs in July = eaten alive

Still had a great time, but don't forget the bug spray. Not a lot of mosquitos, but eensy teensy black specks which leave an intensely itchy spot.

July is hot and calm--the ocean is sometimes just flat inside the reef, great for snorkeling. I usually stay 'in-town', didn't use bug spray, used panty-rippers and Beliken, so if I was getting bitten I didn't know it anyway.

went in mid-July last year & the weather was perfect every single day...someone did say that it had been raining the week before, tho, but nothing more than a few showers...i had no problems w/any bugs at all, but did stay in town & did stay pretty well intoxicated...maybe they didn't like the taste of my blood?!
