San Pedro Police are investigating a case of arson on the island that cost 29-year-old Wendy Lineth Carpio, damages of $15,000 to her blue, 4-door Ford car.

Carpio says she was sleeping inside her San Marcos area home when she was awoken by her neighbor banging on her door and alerting her that her car was engulfed in flames.

She went outside and saw it for herself then alerted the authorities.

How come she had a car? I thought only golf carts were allowed on AC? Feel bad for her but I am confused.

Yes,you are really confused. Everything from semi trucks, dump trucks, SUVs to motorcycles are now roaming and racing up and down the island. frown

Golf carts are the norm on the island. There are more cars now than there used to be and due to more development, there are more trucks as well. As far as the Ford is concerned, the possibility of arson should be investigated, but the possibility of a car catching on fire on it's own should also be considered.
