Tropical Weather Outlook: At 3:00am Tropical Depression Fiona was over the Atlantic Ocean near lat 25.8N lon 63.4W, or about 525 miles north of the Northern Leeward Islands. Fiona was moving west-northwestward at 13 mph with maximum sustained winds of 35 mph. Also at 3:00am, Tropical Storm Gaston was over the Atlantic Ocean near lat 13.2N lon 32.4W, or about 545 miles west-southwest of the Cape Verde Islands. TS Gaston was moving west-northwestward at 20 mph with maximum sustained winds of 50 mph. A tropical wave located about 400 miles east-souteast of the Leeward Islnads has a mediun chance for further development within the next couple of days as it moves west-northwestward at 15-20 mph. None of these systems poses a threat to any land areas in the next day or two. On Ambergris Caye this morning the wind is from the East at 7 mph and our expected high is 87. The sea is calm.

From Belmopan...

That large area of swell-up activity and rain has largely dispersed now, so we should be having much less rain. There is still high level cloud coming from the WNW which could still cause a few showers. Those two Tropical storms are both going up into the Atlantic and pose no threat to us, but could to Bermuda. . . . But the other INVEST 99L is still doing things. It is rather erratic, one time looking as if it is starting to rotate, then thine out, then reform. Right now it doing some of the tricks that the early stages of Earl was doing and right now it is approaching the NE corner of the Caribbean, and could pose a threat to us or the Bahamas. There are three storms in the Pacific just to the west of Mexico, these tend to pull the weat weather from us. The rainfall for Belmopan is still not up to the August normal, but close. There are a few small isolated showers in southern Belize.

Looks like today will be sunnier than the last few days, but with some clouds and a small chance of rain.
