From Belmopan...
That violent storm we had over much of central Belize last night was caused by, the surface winds still from the SW, the Caribbean wind from the east and cloud coming down from Cuba, from that TD NINE which I think is turning and coming down our way, now effecting the Yucatan. . . . I am having Internet problems and can't get the Belize Met report or radar and I cant even get the US wunderground.com/hurricane web site. . . . So I will get this report out quickly in case I again loose E-mail.
Today looks as if there will be a fair amount of sunshine. That last night storm, in addition to the odd winds, was also caused by a very hot day yesterday, resulting in ITCZ swell-ups over Yucatan and Belize. That could happen again today.
