I'm doing research for an article and appreciate your opinion!

If you could wave a magic wand and have a new business appear, what would it be? What's missing that you wish were available on Ambergris Caye? Of course it would be one that would provide local job opportunities!

Needed or wanted. Two very different things. Wanted will bring out the ridiculous (but be fun list) and needed are probably here, in the works, or simply just not viable.

Let's get crazy then! What kind of businesses are wanted? So far today it's been suggested that the island needs a medical spa, a vegetarian/vegan restaurant and a shop that has all the many things expats want but can't get here. Care to add to the list?

Not sure vegetarian/vegan would support itself here....Many restaurants offer vegan/vegetarian menus.... We sell less than 10 of these meals a year.....The population ratio is minimal compared to most US neighborhoods and disposable income is even less available.....Therefore needed or wanted can quickly become impractical if the business exists to create revenue......Now with all that said.....I would love to see a 'real' formally stocked restaurant supply house (floor mats, commercial equipment etc)......And a proper ladies under garment store.... " a shop that has all the many things expats want but can't get here" People that are having that issue haven't been exploring the shops much or haven't discovered Amazon. In my experience, if there's something I need or want and it's not already available I can have it here usually within 4 weeks maximum.

I agree Simon.....Amazon is a heaven sent for us when we can't find our items here in the Country..... However receiving a bra in the wrong size can be darn frustrating......
