From Belmopan...

That storm TS HERMINE is huge, effecting from Panama to Georgia. It has been sucking surface winds over Belize from the SW and spewing rain bands out from the NNE That, plus the days heat caused the late afternoon, evening rain the last three days, last night I recorded 86mm ( 3.4" ) in just half an hour. There is another rain band out in the Caribbean that might get to us tonight or tomorrow. Right now the high level cloud from the NNE is thin, regular puffy clouds moving slowly from the north.

Looks like today will be mainly sunny, with cloud building later, could be rain late this afternoon or evening.

Temperatures in Belmopan:
Today is probably going to be similar, to yesterday : Wed, max. 34°C 94°F Last night min. 24°C 76°F ( Coast usually cooler, hills even cooler )

High level cloud steaming off HURRICANE HERMINE from the NNE is right now causing thunder clouds to form over the mountains to the south of Belmopan and a few in north Corozal district. . These will no doubt be increasing this afternoon and bringing more rain.

That HURRICANE HERMINE has now intensified, started to move rapidly towards north Florida and should be making landfall later today, mainly over night. I think it is moving faster than they say : https://www.wunderground.com/hurricane/?MR=1 Ah. The TV Weather channel are saying it IS a Hurricane now. They have now declared a state of Emergency in Florida.
