From Belmopan...
I am having a lot of problems with the various web sites I use to see the satellite pictures and other information. Yesterday NOAA did some upgrade, so they say, now it is not working. The US Navy satellite picture yet again stopped working after midnight. Actually after restarting, the US Navy 3 times, it has now moved on to 6am Presently the Belize radar is working and showed a line of patchy rain to the west of Belize over night, but it was very slow to open up this morning.
Looks like I might have to go back to my beetle and some seaweed. Looks like the only reliable information I can get is what I can see myself. Even my mercury thermometer is faulty, but I can make correct allowances for that, but it can't be replaced due to politicians banning mercury. I got 4 new ones earlier this year, NONE of them work, the problem with the 2 German ones is, like the UK one I got some years ago, no longer use Mercury, in their thermometers, the max and min pins just move into the liquid they are supposed to mark, so again they are all completely useless. Over the years, I have 3 Electronic max/min devices, they all give wrong readings for one reason or another. So much for progress, the world is going backwards. What chance the global temperatures being accurate.
There was a line of ITCZ activity came up from the south, right up through Guatamala and the Yucatan, causing some patches of rain to the west of Belize. Presently no rain in Belize, should become sunnier later as the fog clears.
We are presently in a seasonally abnormal high temperatures, both night and day.
Looks like today will be hot, humid and sunny like yesterday, with some white clouds but no rain.
