We know that there are a few things to see at The Split but were wondering if there are other places on the island that are worth checking out for snorkeling. Certain piers, etc.? Thanks, Dawg

Your best snorkeling experience will be with a guide and at the marine reserve (also with a guide) You will see people snorkeling at the ends of piers and in the sea grass, but its dangerous to swim beyond the end of piers, because of boat traffic.

you could go over to ambergris caye and rent a kayak and go out to the reef and use the tie ups. AC has 26 miles of reef to snorkel.

Or you can rent a kayak and paddle out to the reef at Caye Caulker and use the tie-ups and snorkel in Caye Caulker. Most people suggest snorkeling by yourself is not recommended. On Caulker, many people snorkel the mangroves on the northside or the west side of the island.

Silly question: What do the tie ups look like? Are their buoys attached to spot them? Land locked rookie Dawg
