DJ....So very sorry to hear this... However it's a story as old as the sand here, and so reminiscent of many songs & stories told about expats and their dreams.... The only suggestion I can help with is to go to an International lender. At one time Atlantic Bank International would offer loans to non-residents who own property here at the ratio of 60%. The interest can be high, the loan process takes a several weeks but it can be done....Or at least we managed to acquire one in 2003.... Wishing you a happy ending to your situation.
