From Belmopan...
Strange weather. The Caribbean winds had been diverted up going northwards and a light SW wind coming in yesterday morning, yet the cloud we could see by afternoon was coming down from the north. The cold front over the Gulf, suddenly reappeared according to NOAA, which produced a very sharp heavy line of rain coming towards north west Belize by late last night.
This morning, there is a little rain going in the same direction, now out at sea off PG but I did not record any significant rain in Belmopan over night. And if that was a cold front, yet the night time temperatures were the warmest of the year. The high level winds are fast and predominating with a line of high level cloud shooting over Belize approaching Cuba, yet the is a slight surface wind from the SE. All very, very strange.
Reminds me of an old story : [ One fine day in the middle of the night, two dead men got up to fight, back to back they faced each other, drew their swords and shot each other. ]
Goodness knows how today will turn out. For some reason, I am not expecting much rain, I suspect some sunshine may come through this present overhead pea-soup later today.
