Announcement from Civil Aviation Department, quoted from a newscast yesterday:
"The use of drones has become more prevalent-both for private and commercial use. Today, a notice was issued to drone operators by the regulatory body charged with oversight of aviation activities in Belize's airspace. In its advisory, the Department of Civil Aviation says that the operation of drones are prohibited within a five mile radius of any public or private airport."
The distance has been extended. Used to be 3 miles. You can use them within these areas but you need to file a flight plan etc and have permission from Civil aviation.
There are a lot of rules about drones. There will be more and more I think. The more powerful the drones, the harder the rules. Today, in my country, a drone can not fly without authorization in town. (I live in Italy.)
