Some showers and isolated thunderstorms will continue affecting the cayes this morning, decreasing; then, affecting inland areas this afternoon, and mostly southern areas tonight. Winds: East - northeast 5-15 knots.... becoming gusty near showers and thunderstorms Marine Forecast: Today: Winds: E-NE 5-15 kt with higher gusts near showers and thunderstorms; seas: Choppy - locally rough; waves: 3-7 ft; some showers and isolated thunderstorms. Tomorrow: Winds: Light & vrb; seas: Choppy - locally rough; waves: 3-7 ft; a few morning showers and isolated thunderstorms. Marine Outlook: Friday night:- Winds: E-SE 5-15 kt with higher gusts; seas: Choppy - locally rough; a few late showers or isolated thunderstorms. Satellite image of the rain last night or actually 1:45am this morning. I measured 54mm ( 2" )

The high level brought all that rain in over night, after the easterly Caribbean winds had stopped. Right now there are still mid level clouds coming from the west, but the easterly Caribbean wind has already started and there is a lot of blue sky around and even sunshine, at least around Belmopan. That rain now pushed by the SW high level, way into the Caribbean. There is a possibility, some might be brought back by the easterly Caribbean winds later this afternoon or night.

Looks like today will have a fair amount of sunshine, but a risk of rain this afternoon or night.

On Ambergris Caye this morning after a night of rain, thunder and lightning we awoke to no phone, internet or power. It's 11:am now, all has been restored and the sun is out with a calm sea and breeze from the ESE at 5 mph. The expected high is 84 f.
