From Belmopan...
The hottest day and night so are in the year, due to the warm air coming up from the south, helped by the haze in the air, a mixture of high humidity and smoke dust, presumably from Honduras and further south.
There is easterly Caribbean air flow over Belize, this has been somewhat erratic over the last few days, blowing at night time sometimes, starting early in the morning sometimes, and then fading out for much of the hot part of the day, all rather unusual. I believe influenced by the warm air from the south and perhaps also by the smoke in the air. No rain on the radar, there was last night on parts of the western mountains, due to flair-ups, but none now.
Looks like today hot humid day, hopefully not quite as hot as yesterday, do rain expected during the day, but could be the odd chance this evening.
