Science and Soul Wellness at Mahogany Bay Village held its grand opening on Saturday, May 6th. Complete with a charity silent auction and fashion show to benefit the SHINE girls’ group, Stand Up Paddle boarding (SUP) and aerial yoga demonstrations, drinks courtesy of Shaken Bar and healthy eats from The Hive, there was much celebration for the highly anticipated wellness center.

The gorgeous center is located on the second floor of a beautiful colonial building at Mahogany Bay, with an expanse of nearly 3,000 square feet of beautifully decorated space. Paulette was excited to show eager visitors how each treatment room is tailored to suit the client. The décor is comfortable and luxurious, bringing a sense of calm and comfort to all who walk in. Large-scale paintings feature celestial beings, something near and dear to Paulette, and certainly add a touch of mystique to the space.

The VERY Grand Opening of Science & Soul Wellness Center at Mahogany Bay
Science and Soul Wellness Center is the island’s newest business – with ALL kinds of yoga (including aerial and SUP) as well as spa treatments, seminars…and sort of wellness that you can think of. The owner, Paulette and her fiance Steve, are from Boston and she is a pro at what she does. SSW will be offering 2 SUP Yoga classes a day at Mahogany Bay’s beach club on the West Side of Ambergris Caye.

Fabulously Soulful at Mahogany Bay Village and a New Club
On Saturday, May 6th, Science & Soul Wellness, the newest addition to the Mahogany Bay Village family of businesses, hosted a fantastic Grand Opening party at the Great House pool. The proceeds from the event benefited SHINE, the organization founded by former Miss San Pedro, Michelle Nunez, and directed by Britney Travis, which works to empower the young women and youth of San Pedro. The silent auction had an array of prizes such as gift certificates from Paradice Cream (which yours truly won!), CG Esthetic Salon services, and lots more. There were dance presentations directed by Zuzana, a fashion show with gorgeous local models, demonstrations of aerial and stand up paddleboard (SUP) yoga by Yoga instructor, Kerryann, healthy nibbles and drinks provided by The Hive (a new, healthy choice restaurant opening soon in MBV), poolside massage, and live reggae music. We stayed to take the tour of the beautiful new studio, with the lovely proprietor, Ms. Paulette, and it is amazing~ as soon as you enter the reception area, a feeling of peaceful zen warmth envelopes you and makes you feel at right at home. The angel artwork by Katrina Ancona adds to the tranquil feeling. There are private massage rooms and a huge Yoga/Pilates/fitness studio, with stunning hardwood floors, aerial scarves, a ballet barre, and a fully mirrored wall. Paulette has seen to all of the smallest details and will have drapes to cover the mirrors for her Yoga classes.
