On Ambergris Caye this morning we have a light breeze from the South East. The sea is calm and sky clear with an expected high of 89. We seem to be having a streak of very pleasant days.

From Belmopan...

Generally clear skies presently, which caused over night fog to form, which will clear shortly. The ITCZ activity continuing in the central Caribbean, this is usually caused by the Pacific wet winds. They develop along the Equator and further north during the Summer. One area is usually just to the west of Panama, they can cause cloud and winds over Belize from the SW. The other area is much further west, its cloud comes up over Mexico and curls down and comes to Belize from the NW. Presently the one that normally forms in the Pacific off Panama, formed near to us and caused rain in many parts, but has now moved into the Caribbean. This is the Pacific one :

Looks like today will be mainly sunny, white clouds developing this morning, no rain expected.

Temperatures in Belmopan :
( Coast usually cooler, hills even cooler ) Wed max. 32°C 90°F Last night min. 22°C 72°F

Just thought you might be interested in the bigger picture at midnight BZT.

You can see here, the two normal breading ground areas for the high level clouds and ITCZ activity development.

Note the flare-up in Mexico that could effect Belize in the next couple of days.

Cal needs to spray some WD-40 on the Callum's Webcam Ambergris Caye. It seems to be stuck.
