Wolfe's Woofer: Did You Find It?
"It's the Melody!" I said to Sherry. "Is that my grandsons that you have with you?" "It sure is," Melody said, giving me a hug. "Say hi to your grandpa, boys." Davin said, "Hi, grandpa," and little Grayson mumbled something that could have been about grandpa. We sat on the porch and talked until Grayson said, "Ma, I got to go to go pee." I opened the door for him and said, "Here. Go right ahead to the bathroom."

Doctor Love: Dirty and Hungry
Dear Doctor Love, How can I get my wife to do more work around the house? She sits all day playing games on Facebook and texting with her friends on her phone. The house is dirty, the bills are not paid on time because she doesn't want to leave the house and I end up paying them myself. Most nights I have reminded her before I get my supper. I work six days a week and I give her all of my pay, so I don't think it is too much to ask for her to wash laundry so I can have a clean towel for my shower. I can't afford to pay someone to clean house and cook, but I am starting to think I will have to do it. I have talked to her and she gets mad and then she won't speak to me for days. I have talked to her mother who just tells me that my wife was always a really lazy girl and I better get over it. We have been married for less than a year but I am thinking about divorcing her. What should I do? /s/ Dirty and Hungry

Letter: Belize is facing an unprecedented number of issues
by the Belize Progressive Party. Our nation is facing an unprecedented number of issues, which are the fruit of corruption and greed by those who were given the responsibility of ensuring our nation's well-being. With the ever-increasing consciousness of the Belizean people, the powers that be shall go to virtually any length to ensure that that age-old tactic of "divide and conquer" remains an effective tool. It is important that we condemn the discriminatory comments made against the Garifuna community by President of the PSU, Eldred Neal and General Secretary of the BEWU, Marvin Mora. In a time when the nation is polarized politically, the last thing the country needs is for its union leaders to be fanning the flames of political intolerance and racial prejudice.

7th Chess Olympiad
Young persons from across the country are gathered at the Orange Walk Multi Purpose building for the 7th Chess Olympiad yesterday. Acting President of the Chess Federation of Belize, Jason Hsu said they are in the process of reviving the sport. Hands Across the Sand
On May 20th at noon, Belizeans around the country joined hands on beaches, across bridges, along sea walls and in public areas to stand in solidarity against offshore oil development in Belize's economically important marine environment. Every year, activists and ocean-lovers host Hands Across the Sand events around the world to "draw a line in the sand," and say "NO" to dirty fossil fuel projects, as well as call for a shift to clean, renewable energy like offshore wind and solar power. Every day, offshore oil accidents serve as grim reminders of just how deadly, dirty and dangerous the industry is and highlights the economic risks and environmental hazards posed by the activity to countries like Belize. "Drill. Spill. Repeat. That is the reality of the offshore oil. Belizeans have, and continue to say, "No!" to the destruction of their livelihoods by this inherently dangerous and dirty industry. That unwavering position needs to be legislated in order to safeguard our collective future," Janelle Chanona, Oceana Belize's Vice President.

18 THINGS TO DO IN CAYE CAULKER BELIZE
At first you might think what is there to do on such a chilled and relaxed island? Well believe it or not it's really easy to spend more than a couple of days here as there is so much to do. It's easy to see how a couple of days can turn into a week on the island. After a smooth (or bumpy) journey on the boat, it was a windy day when I arrived! You dock on a small jetty and walk down to collect your bags. There are palms trees swaying and a few bars along the front. Already you start to feel that this is going to be an awesome place to spend a couple of days or maybe more.

Three New Ways to Exercise on Ambergris Caye
Over the last week or so, I triedor attempted to trythree new classes. 2 yoga classes - both very different - and one for water resistance. I am very slow to start a new fitness oriented routine - it's so much easier to watch Netflix while eating salty pumpkin seeds (that's my new thing) - so I'm testing the water. Ambergris Caye has TONS of options these day. I mean tons. You can DIY - swim, SUP, kayak, beach walk, SCUBA, the list goes on. A fancy new gym has opened right in the middle of town called Belize Fitness, we have THREE Crossfit boxes (you read that correct - THREE), tons of yoga classes, private Pilates sessions. If you want to be active, it shouldn't be THAT hard. Let me show you what I tried.

Get Your Pirate on at Glovers Reef Atoll
About an hour and a half from Dangriga by boat, Glovers Reef wraps around an 80-square mile lagoon that's as idyllic as any South Seas movie you've viewed. As the southernmost of three Belize atolls, the reef atoll serves several purposes: host to a lodge situated amid coconut palm trees and sandy beaches that promises refuge from the world, a research site and a place you can indulge in every aquatic sport that suits your fancy-diving, snorkeling, swimming or sailing. Multiple dive sites bearing enticing names like Octopus Alley, Turtle Tavern and Dolphin Dance give you access to spotted stingrays, barracuda, French angelfish, butterfly fish and sharks. Love to paddleboard? This is your destination!

Simone Biles Says 'Dancing With The Stars' Changed Her Body-But Not In The Usual Way
Simone Biles says she is happy with her experience on Dancing With the Stars, despite being cut from the competition just one week before the finals. But the five-time Olympic gold medalist also admits her body has changed after her nine weeks on the celebrity ballroom competition-and not in the traditional way. While most DWTS stars rave about all of the weight they lose while competing on the ABC dance-off, Biles told Us Weekly her body changed in another way. "It looks different than my gymnastics body because I haven't been working out," Simone told Us. "Dance helps keep me in shape, but I've lost my six-pack. I'm not as toned. I think I just lost a little muscle definition." Still, Simone Biles says that the Dancing With the Stars experience was "wonderful" and that she learned a lot about herself.
