From Belmopan...
Heavy rain in many parts of Belize yesterday afternoon and evening due to that serious activity pushed down from Mexico, by the cold front. That was not part of the start of the rainy season. However there is now a lot of serious tropical activity in the Pacific and over southern Mexico an in our area, that is certainly the sort of activity that heralds the start of the rainy season. The Rainy season is loosely defined as " Rain over 31mm ( 1") Rain in a Week, and 6 of the 9 days are rain days, that is > 1mm each day. " It is possible this new activity could achieve that over the next 9 days. There is warm humid air coming up from the SSE so another uncomfortable day today.
Looks like today with be a mixture of cloud and sun, with a possibility of rain later.
