British High Commission Appoints James Janmohamed Honorary Consul In Belize

British High Commissioner to Belize, H.E. Peter Hughes, hosted a small reception on Thursday, May 25, 2017, to announce the appointment of James Janmohamed as Honorary Consul for San Pedro, Caye Caulker, Caye Chapel and Long Caye. This is the first honor of its kind in Belize from the British High Commission.

"Jim will be a link into the community here and would help us whenever he possibly could," stated H.E. Peter Hughes. "As an honorary Consul he is my representative in this area and he has a piece of paper from the government giving him that power. So he can now act on my behalf; he can do things for the British Government that he could not do before."
