On Ambergris Caye this morning we got a welcome rain. The sea is still rough but wind calming from last nights 20 mph. The expected high today is 88 f.

It may feel odd but so far, this year has been significantly cooler than the typical other years.

This is crazy, as we go into the rainy season, the US Navy is still stuck on Wednesday, the Belize Met Office stuck on Friday and now NOAA stuck on Saturday. How on earth are we supposed to check the weather. ? I have phoned the Met office and they have given me another web address : http://demo.hydromet.gov.bz/

The heavy storm is just starting to ease up over Belmopan now.
But I expect some rain to continue for another hour.

I have just had 19mm ( 3/4" ) of rain in the last 3/4 hour.
