None of course, Peter. If I remember correctly and maybe this has changed but there was no law in Belize supporting the use of speed guns as evidence at the time they arrived. So any ticket based on that information could be dismissed. In addition from my own experience in Belize they will not be maintained and calibrated on a regular basis as is usually required by law. They were probably given to Belize from a grant or something from another country and were a nice toy for the PD for a while.
More patrols has many advantages to deter other types of crime in addition to speeding so I would say that is a plus.
