From Belmopan...
Heavy rain in many parts of Belize over night, as the ITCZ swell-ups developed over Honduras and then more developed over southern Belize and moved right up through most of Belize. I recorded nearly 2" of rain overnight. The radar is still not working, but the rain has now stopped in Belmopan and most of southern Belize, and probably dying out in northern Belize now. The easterly Caribbean wind is already coming over Belize, but the high-level from those swell-ups is still blanketing most of Belize for several more hours. There is too much high cloud around at present to see what is happening, but the north winds from Cuba are no more, the Mid-level movement is southerly, up from Honduras.
Looks like much of this morning will be overcast, clearing from the south during the morning, increasing sunshine later today, possibly the odd rain shower.
