Business owner in DFW have been to and purchased land there 3 yrs ago....
Coming down to build, i want my phone to ring for my clients, is my best bet to get satellite phone and forward my calls to sat phone? Any ideas be appreciated..... thx

You get an APP for your cellphone and can assign your current number to it, You can make and receive calls and text messages to/from the USA for FREE, as long as you are on WiFi or at least 3G phone service (since your phone number is assigned to an APP, you get a Belize SIM Card & Belize phone number for you cellphone, so you can make/receive local calls/texts and be on 3G when away from WiFi.

Ours cost $49 for the first YEAR and when we activated them they gave us a discount on the 2nd & 3rd year.

Our business out in country and our internet all dish not compatible with magic jack.... no internet cable and satellite internet too slow for majic jack,

the easiest and least expensive way to SKYPE is computer to computer and that is free. The caveat being you need to have a computer connected to the internet. If you have facebook you can also video message. I understand there are even some other systems. The bottom line is that www has given us all world wide access.

Warning - if you SKYPE a phone number there are charges.

If you use a Skype to phone number the charges are around 2 cents a minute ..... not worth worrying about in my experience.

Didn't know that Diane. I just get nervous when asked for credit card information. Just going through dispute with two companies where I got "free samples" just for paying the shipping charges. Now getting monthly "recurring bills" for big bucks. hehehe - the samples are nice and the recurring charges disputed.

My Skype number is in Texas. As long as it isn't long distance for someone to call that number they don't pay, other than that it's normal long distance. I pay for the calls that come to my cell which has a data plan and it's not much considering how many calls I take.
