From Belmopan...
There has been and still is significant rain around in many parts of Belize, mainly due to a lot of high level coud coming down from the north, significantly clashing with the bubbly Caribbean easterly clouds, causing several swell-ups and rain. Looks like this will continue for much of the day. HURRICANE MARIA is looking very bad for the northern Caribbean islands. It does not pose a threat to Belize, but we will get cloud from it later this week or next week.
Looks like today is going to be a rainy day in many parts of Belize, with a lot of cloud, some heavy, small amounts of sunshine occasionally.
