Love News has confirmed that the Chinese community in Belize has planned a countrywide shut down of their business on Sunday, October 1. The countrywide shutdown is in response to the two recent separate armed robberies which left one Chinese businessman, Bainan Wu, dead. The Belize Chinese Association sent notices to the businesses owned and operated by members of the association. That noticed reads quote, “In mourning of the death of our fellow countryman who was senselessly killed on 25th September 2017, the entire Chinese community and businesses countrywide will be closed for business….in solidarity and respect for the deceased person’s funeral.” End of quote.
