Goliath grouper caught with a hook stick in San Pedro

This grouper went to serve many mouths for a fund raising event. Photo by Itzy Rivero.

Sad to say we have seen the fish stock depleted greatly over the last 10 years.

Correct, pictures of development, miles of shore line where mangroves have been removed, dredging of the sea bed to "manufacture land", pollution from increase in boat traffic and all the sewage and garbage disposal from the huge increase in population.
Begs the question: "Have the fish stocks been depleted, or have the fish just gone to a better place in the ocean?"
Strange that for so many, so many, years people of the island were sustained by the fish and seafood the ocean provided.
Anyway, nice picture. Hope all enjoyed the fish.
Now if I were to make a comment similar to the two above, I would use a picture of my condo and golf cart as opposed to a local catching a fish to eat and feed his friends.

Not endangered, not protected, not illegal to take, what's the issue?

Bywarren my house is 8 miles from the sea and not a mangrove was hurt in its building. And no go carts for me. We buy our fish at the market like every other Belizean from Belizean fisherman. So preconceived notions are usually wrong.
