More than one person has recently had their phone service cut off due to "non-payment" even when the bill has been paid on time.
My own case was yesterday - about noon my phone services cut. I received a message that the service was "restricted" but I was not able to call the operator to find out the problem. I had paid the bill on time, online via Belize Bank. I ended up going to BTL with laptop and showed Vanessa the record of the payment. She got my service reinstated within about 5 minutes. Another customer who was in BTL at the same time had experienced the same issue recently. I went to BB and informed them. The very nice customer service person was apologetic. This morning I received a notice that the payment was processed yesterday - clearly after my own intervention and that of the officers at BB. Not sure what is going on at BB, but it is clearly not the quality bank it used to be by any means.
