Could anyone give a good ballpark on average per sq ft construction cost? We are looking going through a contractor vs subtracting all the work. The construction would be cement. Oh, please specify USD or BZ.

The variables are many. One of the biggest variables is going to be the location that you are building and its proximity or distance from the town. Basic rule of thumb - in San Pedro town approximately $125 USD/sq ft for basic concrete house. 5 miles north or south $150 USD. Further north with road access $175K and anywhere that is not road accessible you are looking at between $200 - 300 USD depending on location. This does not include upgrades but is for a basic house with low range windows and doors.
