I have relatives coming this year for American Thanksgiving and want to cook a turkey. Does anyone know where the best place to buy one might be please?

Order from Quality Chicken or Greenhouse.
I usually get mine from Greenhouse.
Be prepared for a much higher cost pound than turkeys in the US and Canada.

And ...... Happy Canadian Thanksgiving (better late than never ..... sorry!)

I just purchased a turkey from the meat market in town, it was delish & reasonably priced ( the birds come from Corozal)

it was a very innocent conversation "Katzgar" on where to get a good turkey ! It makes a huge difference in where the turkey came from, regarding the feed, and the processing.

You can buy imported turkeys for significantly higher prices than local turkeys. I quite like the local turkey. I usually buy relatively small turkeys - 12-15 lbs. You can get the big 30 lb turkeys but need to order in plenty of time. I would suggest going to Lino's meats, Greenhouse or Quality Chicken to price and make your order this week.

In case no one has noticed, here in Belize we are happy to celebrate just about any holiday if it includes turkey! In fact we even make turkey from time to time for no reason whatsoever because we love to eat turkey.

Happy Festivas to all.

Our first thanksgiving we invited every Belizean we knew to come celebrate with us. Not one person declined! We had to put tables up outside as there was no room in the house! It was great! We bought a turkey on the hoof from a neighbor free range and after we cleaned it it had almost no breast meat at all, but know what? Not one person complained and it was one of our most memorable Thanksgivings
