Have you seen this solar golf cart around town? Would you like to have one of your own? Save the environment . . . It's the right thing to do![align:center][/align]

Questions ......... what happens when the sun isn't abundant (like now) - is there a back-up/alternative power-source?
What is the travel-range, cost ? Please share details?

When the sun is not abundant, it doesn't make a difference in power, as the batteries are the power source, merely needing to be charged correctly. The solar panel is the charger. On this cart, there is an alternate charging source, however the importance of the entire system is the efficiency. In a current electric cart, the travel range would be based on one charge. The difference in a solar cart is charging from the sun, on the move. The other range difference is the electrical upgrade of the system. There is electric cart technology leaps and bounds ahead of what you get through Club Car right now. This carts range has been, so far, 20-30 miles with the potential to be more. If you would like more information/education you can email to [email protected].

Could always add a few small panels to the roof of your cart to trickle charge your batteries.

dabunk - you missed the whole point. The entire top is made of solar panels. When ever it is in the sun - parked or moving - it will be charging.
Should there be a few days without sunshine (hum the song now) you simply plug it into your house - which hopefully is also solar.
Or if you're sneaky - your neighbors house - hehehe.
So there is very little chance of getting caught out of gas (so to speak). HEY - ENVIRONMENTALIST . . . . It's the right thing to do!
