My latest post re crime and burglary has been removed.
There was nothing offensive in the post.
it was factually correct and aimed at bringing about greater good.

The Police were praised for their actions in the text of the post

So how does censorship of this type win over democracy and free speech ?

The original posts reporting the burglary have been buried in a sub forum of Living in Belize.
This subject needs to be acknowledged and addressed not buried !!

It is very unfortunate that your property has suffered more than one burglary. The posts regarding crime, safety and neighborhood watch issues have specific areas on this forum. The chat area of this forum is not the right place. Thank you for observing the message board moderators requests during this peak season holiday weekend.

Democracy and free speech are observed in message board chat forums - please utilize the relevant sub-forums.

Amanda, in this peak season you are letting down all of the visitors to the island.
You are mis leading them to a false sense of security rather than acknowledging the problem.
If people were aware they would be more careful and more vigilant.

I have asked about your post "Burglary and Crime" and there were several complaints because you accused someone, that's why it was removed.
As Amanda said, there are specific forums for neighborhood watch and people living here. The Ambergris Caye forum is not meant for that.

This criminal is a major problem in our area and getting bolder. We have videos of the robberies and they continue.
