There is still no update and no charges tonight on that allegation of rape made by two women against multiple officers in the Independence police station. But, an interesting thing is happening: because the commander of the professional standards branch - which is investigating the case - has apparently been barred from appearing on the media - the police left to speak on the case appear quite confused. Today they told us the following three things in succession: first, that the file WILL BE forwarded to the DPP, then that the file HAS BEEN forwarded to the DPP, and then that the file IS BEING forwarded to the DPP.
