Do they have an elevator??

Whats the best room to ask for, I have requested a corner one but didnt know if there was a particular floor or room that would be cool to ask for.

Are the ground floor rooms by the pool real noisy?

Any other info we should know? THanks!

No, BB does not have an elevator, but it's only 3 floors, and they will have someone to help you with your bags if necessary.
If you have a corner Ocean Front room, I think any floor is fine - it isn't any noisier on the ground by the pool (at least not when we were there). They have a "no swimming after 8pm" policy and a guard that circles the grounds, so people can't really "sneak in" and splash around.
Unfortunately, I can't remember the room # set up - since there are 11 rooms on each floor, #1 and #21 are not necessarily on top of each other....If you have a choice though, I would request a south corner room as the construction is taking place on the north side of BB. As I mentioned on an earlier post, we didn't find the construction particulary distracting.
Oh, and if you like pina coladas, try the Mata Colada from the "beach bar" next door at Mata Rocks! mmmmmm - they taste great while you're sipping them in the hammocks [Linked Image]

Beachbelle, do you know if the rooms at BB have a CD Player in the rooms? We were wondering if we should take any music down with us.

Ask for a room on the 3rd floor corner--our view was great!
Not many people in the pool when we were there, so hard to judge noise level.

I don't remember a CD player being there. TV though.

No, unfortunately, no CD player. I don't think you'll miss it though....

We always travel there with a personal CD player and a couple of speakers you can pick up at Best Buy fairly cheaply (~$100). Packs easily and sounds pretty good. We also travel with a guitar, complete snorkle equipment, thermos. Fortunately, you don't need alot of clothes!

Yep, I am bringing my little portable CD player and speakers.. and a big collection of CDs, mostly Buffett and other island music bands like Jim Morris, James White and othes. It will be cool to put on some tropical tunes and watch the sunset from my balcony!! Its a rarity I ever catch a sunrise... unless I am still up from the night before! Though as we have to get up real early to go cave tubing on Monday there is a chance I'll catch one then!

I stayed for a week at banana beach in Feb - was wondering if anyone has been there since then and can tell me if the little black dog, named SUZY (written on her blue collar), is still there? Also, is the vet, Dr. Bron Eastwood, still on the island? I would have loved to bring that sweet little dog back to the states, but didn't know what kinds of obstacles I would encounter at U.S. Customs. Would appreciate any information about SUZY or Dr. Eastwood. Thanks...

seaislegal, I'd be surprised if you can catch a sunset from your balconey at Banana Beach. I thought the balconies all faced east and north. If you are looking over the ocean that way lies east. Anyone feel free to correct me if I'm wrong.
