Have any of you hired a local island mover, who owns decent (as in never used for produce, chickens, etc.) trucks (that are 14' or 16' long) to move household goods/furniture, etc., to the mainland?

Or, have you used a mainland mover who has the same size trucks, was willing to barge his truck to the island, load up your goods here, and barge them back to the mainland?

I assume these days there are a few movers here, on the island, who have moved people from the island to the mainland, taking their truck on the barge directly. There are SO many trucks on this island, after all.

We ended up using Valdes Moving to move a container load of goods to the mainland. I would highly recommend Jason Valdes. He did a great job. They also are a customs broker.
