On Ambergris Caye this morning the N-NW wind is blowing at 13 mph. The Barrier Reef is in the lee of our island making the sea calm around the reef but rough beyond. Today's expected high is 78 f.

From Belmopan...

Heavy fast high level clouds from the SW are covering the whole country, with just the odd glimpse of sun. No rain at present, only tiny patches out at sea. The surface wind is also from the SW, but I suspect there is other air movements between these two layers, but I can't see them at present, I suspect some cool air still from the NW and the Caribbean air trying to push in, hence all the cloud. This mix could result in some rain later today.

Looks like today will be mainly cloudy, with just a little sun occasionally and a chance of some rain later.

Parts of Texas are down to 20°F that is well below freezing temperature. Some of that cold air is coming our way. I can feel the NW wind is already getting cool, down to 70°F already.
