Mayor Daniel Guerrero and his six councilors were re-instated as members of the Town Council for a third time on Tuesday, March 13, 2018. Each councilor’s portfolio was announced, including that Ruben Gonzalez was appointed new Deputy Mayor of San Pedro.
The San Pedro PUP state that there are 275 unaccounted for ballots in one of the boxes and that there is significant discrepancies in the election process which is more than enough to put a shadow of a doubt on the results in San Pedro Town. Today, they will appeal to the Belize courts for a new election procces on the island.
The Town Council will hold a public swearing in ceremony at Central Park on Friday, March 16, at 7p.m. Everyone is invited to attend.
