The Caribbean Sea
Scattered showers and thunderstorms are occurring over the far
southwestern Caribbean Sea near the coasts of Colombia, Panama,
and Costa Rica. This activity is primarily associated with the
monsoon trough. Similar activity is occurring over the far
northwestern Caribbean to include the E Yucatan Peninsula, Belize,
central Honduras, and W Cuba. Otherwise, typical patches of low
clouds and isolated showers are moving westward across the area in
the trade wind flow, especially over Hispaniola. The trade winds
are relatively light due to low pressure to the north of the
area, and these winds should remain lighter-than-normal for much
of this weekend.

From Belmopan...
We really went through the battle of different, conflicting air masses yesterday. The battle is still not over, the Caribbean air is fighting back in a bubble, pushing in towards north Belize, against a now stagnant large area of cloud and fog over most of north and central Belize, and with patches of fast moving high level clouds. Yet Stann Creek and Toledo have bright sunshine, until the Caribbean air gets there. Belmopan had over 39mm ( 1½") of rain over the last 24 hours. No rain showing on the radar now, but there is a little drizzle.
Looks like to day is going to be very mixed, cloud, sun and a possibility or rain patches.
Temperatures in Belmopan :
( Coast usually cooler, hills even cooler )
Last night min. 21°C 70°F Yesterday max. 33°C 92°F

The Cloud picture.
Very complex at present, Caribbean bubble trying to push in, causing air flow from the north, not east, there appears to be other air movement from the north from the Yucatan, forming into clouds as it crosses into north Belize, earlier, I even saw a little movement from the south in the same area. The high level fast cloud is still from the SW as typical.
But the surface wind over Belmopan, now light, was also from the SW, that is not "Tiger" wind, but from the same direction ( light blue arrow ) But then there is a whole pool of almost stationary clouds sitting over most of central Belize, doing nothing.
But as I talk, since starting this Cloud report, that area of cloud is swelling up northwards, and now covering Blue Creek area.
