Wolfe’s Woofer: Griddle-clock
“Hey, Mr. Dennis! Hey, Mr. Dennis.”
I slowed down at the sound of the familiar voice and looked back. Mario and Vernon stumbled around the corner with Mario trying to keep Vernon upright.
“I see you guys have had some liquid refreshment tonight,” I remarked, as they climbed onto my golf cart.
“Oh, yeah. We’re drunk,” Mario said, “if that’s what you’re trying to say. What about you? What are you doing out at this time of night?”
“I had to go to a wedding up the coast and the party broke up late.”
Doctor Love: Protective Mom
Dear Doctor Love
My family and I were with a group of friends this weekend and I heard my eleven-year-old daughter screaming in the back yard. One of the fathers of another child was tickling her and by the time I got to them she was fighting for him to stop. I grabbed him and made him let her go. She ran away in tears and he got defensive saying he wasn’t hurting her—he was only playing. I explained that tickling is not always fun for the person on the receiving end and when she asked him to stop, he should have respected her wishes and let her go...

Moreover, Carla volunteered every week teaching emergency medicine at Western Regional Hospital. THANK YOU, Carla, for ALL that you have done to advance healthcare and nursing in Belize!
Downtown Mural Concept Design Workshop
The Belize City House of Culture and Downtown Rejuvenation Project completed its Downtown Mural Concept Design Workshop yesterday at the House of Culture with students from Wesley and ACC. Fifteen students participated. They were tasked with developing their own abstract interpretation of one historic significant event in Belize City's past that contributed to make Belize City what it is today. Their interpretations will be combined in a collage with the assistance of Ms Fiona Hsu of the Department of Youth Services. The collage will become the mural. This mural will be painted by the community on the wall of Belize Bank facing Battle Field Park. When the painting commences, members of the community will be invited to help us complete the mural. The painting of the mural will be a celebration of our community, history, culture and art. The mural should be painted during the months of June and July.

City Walks: San Pedro Belize on Ambergris Caye on sunny morning, 32min. Bright sunny morning walk around the little town of San Pedro, Belize on Ambergris Caye. The water around the island was beautiful and the people incredibly friendly. This was during Easter Weekend so a little bit more crowded than usual. While the town seems chaotic, everything seems to flow pretty well of its own accord. Most people get around on foot, bike, or golf cart. San Pedro is the only town on the island and has an airport that we walk by and several water taxi terminals. To the north of the bridge where we start it is mostly private homes and resorts but worth a drive up to Secret Beach if you get the chance.
