Miss San Pedro 2018- 2019 contestants revealed during official sashing ceremony

Hoping to become the island’s next beauty ambassador, five beautiful young ladies began their journey for the Miss San Pedro 2018-2019 title. On Wednesday, July 18th, the aspiring candidates were presented to their sponsors during an official sashing ceremony at El Patio Restaurant and Lounge.

This year’s contestants and sponsors are Seleny Borges (Castillo’s Hardware), Chelsea Muñoz (Ramon’s Village), Faith Noel Edgar (Jaguar’s Temple Night Club), Janelly Aban (Captain Sharks) and Daisy Martinez (La Sirene Resort Spa and Marina).

Miss San Pedro Pageant 2018 Highlights

Chelsea Muñoz is Miss San Pedro 2018-2019

19-year-old Chelsea Muñoz became San Pedro’s 55th beauty ambassador after being selected Miss San Pedro 2018-2019 on Saturday, September 1st during the annual pageant. The anticipated show was held at the Honourable Louis Sylvestre Sporting Complex where five lovely contestants vied for the coveted title in a show that delivered creativity, poise, elegance and the best of entertainment.

When the scores were in, Salazar announced the various prizes. The prize for Miss Photogenic went to Janelly Aban, while Miss Congeniality went to Seleny Borges. First runner-up went to Faith Noel. As first runner-up, Noel will need to be ready to up the duties of the winner in the event Miss San Pedro cannot carry on with her reign. To the beat of drumrolls, Salazar then gave the announcement everyone was longing for, the new Miss San Pedro 2018-2019. Salazar paused and then revealed that Chelsea Muñoz had been selected as the island’s new beauty ambassador. She was sashed by and then presented with her bouquet while thanking the crowd and supporters.
