From Belmopan...
Looks as if there is a lot of dust coming across the Atlantic from Africa. This is not the first time I have seen this, two or three times earlier the last few months.
Although the main Monsoon band is still to the south of us, there has been a fair amount of bubbling up and activity all around us and the Yucatan, with chunky Caribbean cloud. The Caribbean winds are now almost due easterly, already fairly heavy over much of the country, swellups already happening over much of southern Belize, with significant rain patches.
Looks like northern Belize will have cloud and some sunshine, southern Belize significant rain and heavier clouds for much of the day.
